About AnandaRasa Catawba
AnandaRasa Catawba is a vibrant presence embodying an ethos of inclusivity, creativity and spiritual healing. Ananda translates to "bliss" in Sanskrit, and Rasa refers to the flavor of an experience, often linked to the essence of spiritual or artistic expressions. Together, AnandaRasa embodies the "essence of bliss," offering programs, workshops, and events designed to help individuals reconnect with their inner selves, cultivate well-being, and experience transformation.

AnandaRasa was born from the spiritual philosophy and community service focus of our founders coupled with the seeds sown by the Catawba Valley Festival of the Arts (CVFA). The Catawba Valley Festival of the Arts began in 2021 with collaborations with academia, nonprofits, local businesses, and various local arts organizations in the Catawba Valley of North Carolina. As the influence of the CVFA to offer All Arts for All expanded, the transition to a nonprofit focused on the healing arts naturally evolved beginning in 2024. Events, classes and programs are offered at the historic Catawba Farms property in Newton, NC.
The AnandaRasa logo, created by French-Colombian artist Pablo Posada Pernikoff, is rich with symbolic meaning. At its core is the Devanagari Sanskrit script for "Aum" (or "Ôm"), a sacred sound and mantra that evokes oneness and unity. This "Aum" symbol also represents the agna chakra, or third eye of Shiva, embodying inner vision, intuition, and spiritual insight. Additionally, the design integrates the Egyptian Eye of Horus, a symbol of healing and restoration. Together, these elements capture the essence of AnandaRasa’s mission in the spiritual and healing arts.
